Sources say that Venkatesh has liked the first official trilogy of the Indian Film Industry, Golmaal. But the actor wants to remake only the third instalment of the film, which was released last November. It is said that he has decided to remake and has told a leading producer to acquire the rights.
Actor Srikanth is one of the contenders for the role played by Arshad Warsi in the original, sources further add. Srinu Vytla, who directed Venkatesh in Namo Venkatesa, is said to be directing the film. Other details about the project are yet to be revealed.
It seems remake bug has bitten Venkatesh, as he has been bringing other language many successful movies to Telugu of late. After Nagavalli and Bodyguard, the actor has set his eyes on Bollywood blockbuster Golmaal 3.
