Virodhi, Brahmigadi Katha hit by Telangana bandh

By Ramchander

Virodhi and Brahmigadi Katha, which were released last Friday, have been heavily affected by Telangana bandh. The complete shut down in the controversy-hit region has resulted in a huge loss for the makers of the both the films.

The movies, which failed to impress the critics, have been doing decent business as there were no big Telugu releases in the last weekend. Even though Bollywood movies Delhi Belly and Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap have attracted the movie goers, Virodhi and Brahmigadi Katha managed to pull the rural audience with its content.

Industry insiders say that the two days' revenue from Virodhi and Brahmigadi Katha might have been crucial for the producers of both the films, as it is not sure about when these movies would disappear from the cinema halls. The makers of the film, who were wishing to recover the invested money at the earliest, would be deeply troubled by this bandh.
