The
Regional
Censor
Board
Office
in
Hyderabad
has
often
been
making
it
to
the
headlines
in
recent
times.
The
Board
is
now
back
in
news
and
this
time
again
for
a
wrong
reason.
A
few
upset
members
of
the
Board
have
filed
a
complaint
in
Delhi
against
A
Dhanalakshmi,
the
regional
officer
of
the
AP
Censor
Board.
Reports
suggest
that
along
with
a
local
MP,
the
members
have
recently
met
Ambika
Soni,
Minister
for
Information
and
Broadcasting,
and
submitted
a
memorandum,
which
includes
a
list
of
accusations
against
Dhanalakshmi.
It
is
reported
that
corruption
is
one
among
the
main
charges
against
her.
It
is
also
stated
that
she
is
not
a
native
Telugu
speaker.
So
she
is
unfit
to
censor
Telugu
movies.
Vidya
Sagar
is
one
of
the
members
of
the
Censor
Board,
who
met
Ambika
Soni.
The
member
says
that
regional
officer
Dhanalakshmi
is
acting
against
the
rules
and
she
indulges
in
favouritism,
when
big
films
are
submitted
for
censorship.
He
adds
that
his
team
brought
everything
to
notice
of
Ambika,
who
has
promised
them
to
take
necessary
action.
