Charmy Kaur isn't inexpensive

Charmy Kaur reportedly bagged Malayalam film Tapanna starring Mohanlal, after it was rejected by Kannada actress Ramya, who turned down the offer due to monetary issue. It was said that the makers of the film later approached the Telugu actress, whom they felt that she could be apt for their budget. However, the 24-year-old has claimed that she is not cheap rather she was the first choice for the film.

Speaking to a leading daily, Charmy Kaur said that that role was offered to her five months ago but she could not sign due to her other commitments. Later, the movie bosses approached quite a few actresses like Ramya and Sameera Reddy. However, now that the project is delayed, the offer returned to her again and she sealed the deal. According to the actress, the money will be obviously less, as Malayalam industry is small.

More than the remuneration, Charmy Kaur liked the script and her character, which made her to sign the project. Adding to that the movie stars superstar Mammootty.
