Jaya and Manoj Tiwari, who are playing the lead roles in the Bhojapuri remake of Matrudevobhava, canned a couple of romantic scenes for the movie during the opening event.

Matrudevobhava is all about mother's greatness. The movie revolves around the story of driver Satyam (Nassar) and his wife Sarada (Madhavi), a music teacher, who have four kids. How she brings up her children after her husband was killed by toddy milk vendor Apparao (Tanikella Bharani), has been brought out in an interesting way on screen.

Matrudevobhava, which was written and directed by K Ajayakumar, itself was a remake of the Malayalam hit movie Akashadoothu. It was later remade in Hindi as Tulsi: Mathrudevobhava starring Manisha Koirala and Irrfan Khan. Now, Jayaprada and Manoj Tiwari are playing lead roles in its Bhojpuri version.
