Telugu movie Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (KVJ) starring Rana Daggubati and Nayantara in leads, has received a fantastic opening at the USA Box Office. Its first weekend collection is more than what Damarukam and Dhenikaina Ready have collected in their lifetime in the country. Its business is far better than that of many recent Bollywood movies.
Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, which has been directed by Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi, was released on 31 screens in America on November 29. The high octane action film has collected Rs 1.17 crores ($2,14,065) at the USA Box Office in its first weekend. Its per screen average is $6,905.
Nagarjuna's last week release Damarukam, which had collected Rs 60.47 lakhs ($1,08,882) in the first weekend, is still keeping the bells ringing at the USA Box Office. The film has collected $15,870 from 18 screens in the country in the second weekend. It has raked in a total of Rs 72.49 lakhs ($1,32,375) in 11 days.
Another Telugu movie Routine Love Story, which was released with Damarukam, has reportedly removed from theatres in America after its poor performance. Meanwhile, Vishnu Manchu's recent release Dhenikaina Ready, which is still running on one screen, has collected $84 in the sixth weekend. Its total collection has crossed Rs 86.80 lakhs ($1,58,492) at USA Box Office.
