Actress-producer
Lakshmi
Manchu
is
quite
excited
about
her
next
movie
Gundello
Godari
starring
Tapsee
in
the
lead.
But
what
disappoints
her
the
most
is
that
the
producers
of
Puduvai
Managaram
have
used
stills
of
Tapsee
for
its
promotion.
The
producer
has
decided
to
take
legal
action
against
them.
Doubles
starring
Mammootty,
Nadia
Moidu,
Taapsee
Pannu
in
leads,
is
hit
Malayalam
movie,
which
is
being
dubbed
and
released
in
Tamil
as
Puduvai
Managaram.
The
makers
of
the
movie
have
reportedly
used
Tapsee's
stills
from
Gundello
Godari
for
its
publicity
in
Tamil
Nadu.
Now,
Lakshmi
Manchu
has
sent
a
notice
to
the
Producers'
Council
in
Chennai
and
is
awaiting
their
response.
Talking
about
the
issue,
Lakshmi
Manchu
says
that
her
production
team
has
worked
hard
for
months
to
get
Taapsee's
look
right
in
my
period
film
Gundello
Godari.
But
the
makers
of
Puduvai
Managaram
have
just
lifted
the
pictures
off
the
Internet
without
seeking
her
prior
permission.
The
actress-cum-producer
adds
that
it
is
an
infringement
of
the
copyright
law.
According
to
Lakshmi
Manchu,
Tapsee's
stills
from
Gundello
Godari
were
released
three
months
ago
and
using
them
has
allegedly
hurt
her.
"I've
sent
a
notice
to
the
Producers'
Council
in
Chennai
and
I'm
waiting
for
them
to
take
action.
Failing
which,
I
will
take
up
the
issue
myself," TOI
quotes
her
as
saying.
However,
Bala,
the
producer
of
Puduvai
Managaram,
admits
the
mistake,
but
he
defended
it
by
saying
that
it
has
happened
in
his
absence
and
now,
he
has
got
removed
all
the
posters.
Now,
he
wants
the
issue
to
be
amicably
sorted
out.
He
says
that
he
has
already
sent
a
letter
to
Lakshmi
saying
that
one
of
his
assistants
has
used
the
stills
from
Internet.
He
adds,
"Since
I
was
unwell,
I
couldn't
personally
oversee
the
promotion
materials."
