Life is Beautiful beats Sudigadu, Shirdi Sai at USA Box Office

Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula's latest Telugu movie Life is Beautiful (LIB) featuring Shriya Saran and Amala Akkineni in leads, has opened to an overwhelming response at the USA Box Office. The romantic film has beaten the collection of Allari Naresh's Sudigadu and Akkineni Nagarjuna's Shirdi Sai in the country in just three days.

Telugu film Sudigadu has collected Rs 1.20 crore nett ($220,761) at the USA Box Office in 32 days. Nagarjuna's devotional movie Shirdi Sai, which has been directed by K Raghavendra Rao, has come closer to this mark in 11 days. It has collected Rs 1.12 crore nett ($206,418) at the American collection centres.

New release Life Is Beautiful has surpassed the collection of both the films in the country in a very short span of time. The Telugu movie, which hit the screens in the country on Thursday, collected Rs 2,861,263 ($53,148) on its opening day. Its collection is much more than that of Blockbuster movie Eega in the country.

The business of Life Is Beautiful almost doubled up on Friday and it collected Rs 5,316,430 ($98,842) on the second day. The movie continued to grow on Saturday with collection reaching Rs 6,886,183 ($127,926). It has collected a total of Rs 1.52 crore ($279,916) at the USA Box Office. It witnessed a big jump on the fourth day. Trade analysts say that its Sunday numbers are even bigger than Saturday. Its first weekend total is expected to cross Rs 2.25 crores nett.
