Nagarjuna-Anushka
starrer
Damarukam,
which
will
hit
the
screens
on
October
19,
is
one
of
the
most
awaited
Telugu
movies
of
2012.
But
its
release
is
posing
a
big
threat
to
Pawan
Kalyan's
latest
movie
Cameraman
Ganga
Tho
Rambabu
(CGTR),
which
is
scheduled
to
grace
the
screens
on
October
18.
Now,
the
distributors
of
the
latter
film
are
requesting
Damarukam
makers
to
postpone
its
release.
Cameraman
Ganga
tho
Rambabu
is
a
very
big
budget
movie
and
it
is
releasing
on
1,600
screens
across
the
country.
The
theatrical
rights
of
the
film
have
been
acquired
by
a
few
big
distributors
for
a
whopping
price.
But
now,
the
distributors
are
afraid
of
loosing
out
their
investment
on
Pawan
Kalyan's
film.
Damarukam
will
hit
the
screens
just
a
day
after
the
release
of
Cameraman
Ganga
Tho
Rambabu.
The
distributors
feel
that
Damarukam
will
surely
clash
with
Pawan's
film
at
the
Box
Office
and
affect
its
collections.
Hence,
they
have
apparently
requested
the
producers
of
Damarukam
to
avoid
the
clash
by
postponing
its
release.
However,
Damarukam
is
billed
as
the
most
expensive
film
ever
in
Nagarjuna's
career.
The
film
has
cutting
edge
computer
graphics
of
70
minutes.
Some
portion
of
graphics
work
is
reportedly
still
pending
for
the
film,
which
has
been
in
the
production
for
the
past
two
years.
Now,
it
should
seen
whether
producer
Venkat
heed
the
request
of
the
distributors
and
push
ahead
its
release
date.
