Nagarjuna's Shirdi Sai overseas rights fetch whopping price

Hyderabad: Sree Lakshmi Sai Films has obtained the overseas theatrical distribution rights and DVD rights of Nagarjuna's upcoming movie Shirdi Sai for a whopping price. The devotional film is one of the most-awaited movies of 2012 and there was great demand for its overseas distribution rights.

Shirdi Sai is the cinematic of land mark life episodes of Shirdi Sai Baba. There have been several prior depictions on the life and times of Sadguru Sai Baba in quite a few languages. But this version stands out for its unique approach, presentation, use of technology and of course portrayal of Baba by one of the greatest actors of our times, Nagarjuna.

The film has been directed by one of India's most successful directors, K Raghavendra Rao. A Mahesh Reddy and Girish Reddy are producing this film on Sai Krupa Entertainments banner. MM Keeravani has composed the music for the film, while S Gopal Reddy handled the camera work. The star cast of this movie is Nagarjuna, Srikanth, Sri Hari, Sai Kumar, Kamalini Mukherjee, Sharath Babu, Ali, Bramhanandam and others.

After portraying saint-poets Annamayya and Bhakta Ramadasu, Telugu actor Nagarjuna Akkineni plays the role of the Shirdi Sai Baba in Shirdi Sai movie. The superstar teams up again with director K Raghavendra Rao and music director Keeravani for the film. The trio has earlier given us hit devotional movies like Annamayya and Sriramadasu. Now, their upcoming movie Shirdi Sai is set to release worldwide on September 6, 2012.
