Director
Puri
Jagannath
and
producer
DVV
Danayya
have
settled
their
issue
over
the
remuneration
and
cleared
the
way
for
the
release
of
Pawan
Kalyan's
much-hyped
film
Cameraman
Ganga
Tho
Rambabu.
But
the
Directors'
Association
has
reportedly
threatened
to
halt
its
release
on
October
18,
if
the
director
and
producer
do
not
pay
10%
commission
to
it.
It
was
recently
reported
that
Puri
Jagannath
had
lodged
a
complaint
with
the
Directors
and
Producers'
Association
against
DVV
Danayya.
In
his
complaint,
the
director
had
stated
that
the
producer
was
not
ready
to
pay
his
remuneration
of
Rs
4.5
crores
for
the
movie
Cameraman
Ganga
Tho
Rambabu.
He
requested
the
Associations
to
get
his
payment.
But
DVV
Danayya's
say
was
different
on
this
issue.
The
producer
had
argued
that
Puri's
miscalculations
have
overshot
the
budget.
Hence,
he
had
even
requested
him
to
trim
his
payment
long
back.
Now,
the
duo
has
sorted
issue
after
a
closed
door
discussion
and
Puri
is
said
to
have
compromised
to
accept
Rs
3.5
crores
instead
of
Rs
4.5
crores.
What
is
hindering
the
release
of
Cameraman
Ganga
Tho
Rambabu
is
the
10%
commission.
The
Directors'
Association
has
approved
a
new
rule
in
the
General
Body
Meeting
held
on
Sunday.
As
per
the
rule,
if
anyone
lodges
a
written
complaint
with
the
Association,
they
need
to
pay
the
settlement
fee.
However,
the
Directors'
Association
is
demanding
10%
commission
from
Rs
3.5
crores
from
the
duo.
But
Puri-Danayya
issue
has
been
settled
before
the
new
rule
was
approved.
How
can
this
rule
be
applied
to
their
issue?
Now,
it
should
be
seen
whether
the
Association
would
exclude
their
issue
or
anyone
of
Puri
and
Danayya
would
pay
the
commission.
