It has received an 'A' certificate from the Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad, which has recommended 3 minor cuts in the movie.

Rebel is a romantic action movie with all commercial ingredients. The makers of the movie wanted it to get at least 'U/A" certificate. They had to be contended with the 'A' certificate in the end. A source from the Censors says that the movie has a heavy dose of action and violence and some masala dialogues, which forced the Censor Board to award Rebel an 'A' certificate.

Rebel has been directed by Raghava Lawrence and jointly produced by J Bhagawan and J Pulla Rao. Besides direction, Raghava also handled the choreography, screenplay and music direction for the film. Krishnam Raju, Vikram Singh, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Kovai Sarala, Ali, Kelly Dorji, Sayaji Shinde, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Pradeep Rawat, Jeeva and Chalapathi Rao are playing the supporting roles.

The music of the film Rebel, which was released in market on September 14, is successful in winning the hearts of the music lovers. Besides this, the promo videos and posters have created lot of expectations among the film goers. With the movie releasing on September 28, it should be seen whether it would meet their expectations.
