Actress
Priyamani,
who
has
won
a
National
Award
for
her
performance
in
Paruthi
Veeran,
has
a
very
interesting
role
in
Pon
Kumaran's
upcoming
movie
Charulatha,
which
is
simultaneously
made
in
Telugu,
Tamil,
Kannada
and
Malayalam.
The
actress
is
playing
a
conjoined
twins
in
it.
The
makers
have
recently
released
her
first
look
in
the
movie.
Charulatha
is
a
horror
film,
which
is
inspired
by
Thai
movie
Alone
starring
pop
singer
Marsha
Wattanapanich.
The
movie
is
a
story
of
conjoined
twins.
A
guy
falls
in
love
with
one
of
the
twins
and
he
gets
them
separated.
But
other
girl,
who
is
not
loved
by
the
guy,
kills
the
one
he
loves
and
acts
like
her.
What
happens
next
will
form
the
crux
of
this
horror
movie.
At
a
recent
press
conference
organised
by
the
production
house
Global
One
Studios,
producer
Ramesh
Krishna
Murthy
admitted
that
Charulatha
is
inspired
by
Alone.
But
he
said
that
they
have
made
some
changes
to
the
original
script
to
suit
the
taste
of
the
local
audience.
He
added
that
it
is
an
unique
attempt,
which
nobody
has
done
earlier.
This
film
would
be
a
landmark
in
Priyamani's
career.
However,
the
Telugu
version
of
Charulatha,
which
is
directed
by
Pon
Kumaran,
is
produced
by
Allu
Aravind
under
the
banner
Geetha
Arts.
Mollywood
actor
Skandha
is
playing
the
male
lead,
while
Seetha,
Saranya
and
Sai
Sasi
are
in
the
other
important
roles.
MV
Panneer
Selvam
is
handling
camera
work
for
the
film,
which
will
have
Sundar
C
Babu's
music.
