Priyanka Chopra likely to romance Ram Charan in Zanjeer remake

Despite facing copyright trouble over the story from the original writers, the preparation to kick-start Ram Charan Teja's Bollywood debut movie Zanjeer, the remake of the cult classic of the same name, is in brisk progress. Well, the latest news about the movie is that gorgeous Priyanka Chopra is being considered to play the female lead.

Grapevine is abuzz with the news that Priyanka Chopra has been approached by the makers of Zanjeer and she is likely to pair up with Ram Charan Teja in the forthcoming film. Though she has not given a green signal for the project yet, it is believed that she is very excited to play the role of a street performer played by Jaya Bachchan in the original. It is interesting to note that the actress has also been part of Amitabh Bachchan's other cult classic remakes like Don and Agneepath.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan Teja has revealed that Amitabh Bachchan is happy for the young actor and he will be meeting the Bollywood superstar to seek his blessings. However, the remake of Zanjeer is produced by Prakash Mehra, the director-producer of the original version, and directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It is expected to take off in April.
