Hyderabad:
Director
Puri
Jagannath
has
announced
that
he
has
dropped
mass
maharaja
Ravi
Teja's
most
ambitious
project
Idiot
2,
which
was
to
be
a
sequel
to
his
hit
movie
Idiot.
Defending
his
move,
the
director
said
that
he
has
shelved
the
film
because
he
cannot
add
any
extension
to
the
original
lead
character
Chanti.
Puri
Jagannath
was
addressing
the
media
at
a
press
conference
on
July
23
in
Hyderabad,
when
he
announced
the
news.
The
director,
who
recently
saw
Idiot
in
Bangkok,
took
the
decision
after
he
found
it
difficult
to
add
any
masala
to
Chanti.
He
had
planned
to
make
Idiot
2
with
Ravi
Teja.
The
Tollywood
helmer
met
Ravi
Teja
when
he
decided
to
shelve
the
movie
Idiot
2.
He
explained
the
actor
that
he
cannot
do
Idiot
sequel
because
the
original
hero
will
lose
his
credibility
and
dynamism.
Meanwhile,
he
had
promised
to
work
with
him
in
another
movie,
which
is
Devudu
Chesina
Manushulu.
However,
Puri
Jagannath
and
Ravi
Teja
have
already
completed
the
shooting
for
Devudu
Chesina
Manushulu
(DCM),
which
is
currently
in
the
post-production
stage.
The
music
of
the
film,
which
was
released
in
June,
has
garnered
very
good
response.
Now,
both
Puri
and
Ravi
are
eagerly
waiting
for
the
release
of
the
film,
which
is
slated
to
hit
the
screens
in
the
first
week
of
August.
