Tollywood heartthrob Ram Charan Teja's Bollywood debut film Zanjeer, a remake of the cult classic of the same name, will take off in April 2012. The pre-production works are in full swing and it will start once the Magadheera star complete his upcoming Telugu movies Racha and VV Vinayak's untitled movie.

Director Apoorva Lakhia has announced that the remake of Zanjeer will kick start in April. "My film starts from April 20 so I am going to start working on it, it is the remake of Zanjeer and next week I am going to shoot for an ad in Thailand," the IANS quoted the director as saying.

The original version starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Pran in the key roles. It is often credited as the film, which gave the image of 'The Angry Young Man' to Big B. The blockbuster movie was the landmark film in the Indian film history.
