Producer
DS
Rao
has
denied
the
reports
that
Bollywood
Superstar
Shahrukh
Khan
has
sent
legal
notice
to
him
for
titling
his
next
Telugu
film
as
Chammak
Challo.
It
was
rumoured
earlier
that
Rao
had
received
a
notice
from
Red
Chillies
Entertainment
over
the
use
of
'Chammak
Challo',
which
is
a
chartbuster
song
from
SRK's
super-hit
movie
Ra.One.
Talking
to
a
leading
English
newspaper,
DS
Rao
said
that
those
rumours
are
baseless
and
he
has
not
received
any
notice
from
Shahrukh
Khan
or
his
team.
Meanwhile,
the
producer
added,
Chammak
Challo
means
'nerajana'
in
Telugu.
Hence,
there
will
not
be
any
case
of
plagiarism
against
the
title.
DS
Rao
had
earlier
titled
his
previous
movie
as
Mr
Nokia,
but
he
had
to
re-christen
it
as
Mr
Nookayya
after
the
mobile
company
objected
the
title.
When
asked
about
paying
any
monetary
compensation
Ra.One
makers,
the
producer
says
that
he
does
not
want
pay
money.
He
would
rather
go
for
an
alternative
title,
if
the
makers
object
the
title.
However,
Shahrukh
Khan
was
not
available
to
comment
on
the
issue
as
he
has
currently
been
on
a
foreign
trip.
But
Niloefur,
a
PR
executive
of
SRK
says
that
his
firm
would
take
a
call
once
he
returns
from
the
trip.
