Shruti Hassan signs for Prabhu Deva's next film

Prabhu Deva's third Bollywood movie has offlate been making headlines for the casting of heroine in the film. Names of South Indian actresses like Samantha, Trisha and a few others were considered for the movie. But the makers have finally zeroed in on actress Shruti Hassan, who says that she has officially signed to star in this untitled Hindi movie.

Shruti Hassan has confirmed that she has been roped in as the lead actress for Prabhu Deva's next venture. The actress is expected to start shooting for her second Bollywood movie from August. Talking to PTI, Shruti said, "I have never worked with him (Prabhu Deva) before. So for me it is going to be lovely to finally get to work with him."

This happens to be the first project signed by Shruti Hassan after the huge success of Gabbar Singh. The actress could not stop praising director Prabhu Deva. Shruti said, "Prabhu Deva is very clear, efficient and good with his work. It just helps you keep your focus on your performance and not worry about other things. He makes the entire process so much easier."

However, Prabhu Deva made his debut in Bollywood as director with Salman Khan starrer Wanted. Later, he directed Akshay Kumar for Rowdy Rathore. Both these action films have done good business at the Box Office. His third venture will be a musical love story, to be produced by Kumar Taurani of Tips. Taurani's son Girish will be making his debut as an actor in the yet-to-be named film.
