Cricketer Sourav Ganguly has procured the Bengali remake rights of Telugu movie Golconda High School. The former Indian captain is gearing up to make his acting debut with this movie.

Reports say that Sourav Ganguly liked the Telugu movie and he felt that he could pull off the role of a coach played by Sumanth in Golconda High School, which was inspired by Harimohan Paruvu’s novel The Men Within.

Golconda High School was written and directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Ram Mohan Paruvu. The movie is about a coach, who builds the team spirit and motivates the team to perform well at a cricket tournament.

However, after bidding goodbye to international cricket, Sourav Ganguly has appeared on small screen with television shows like Dadagiri Unlimited and Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipati apart from being a cricket commentator.
