SS Rajamouli’s mother Rajanandini died today

Critically acclaimed director SS Rajamouli's mother Rajanandini died in Hyderabad this morning (October 20). She had been suffering from an age-related illness for a long time and she was hospitalised earlier this year. She is survived by her husband Vijayendra Prasad and son V Srisaila Sri Rajamouli.

According to SS Rajamouli, Rajanandini was admitted to the Sunshine Hospital in Hyderabad in April and was discharged from the hospital after two months. On his Twitter page, the director had written on Jun 7, "After being in and out of ICU for 2 months mom is finally discharged.thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of sunshine hospitals.they took care of her like their own mother and for two months we were made to feel at home (sic)."

Rajanandini was once again rushed to the hospital on June 10 and she was admitted to the ICU. The doctors, who were treating her, prescribed her to undergo tests for anti-convulgent levels in serum for oxcarbamazepine and levericetam. Hence, SS Rajamouli had requested his Twitter fans to let him to know about the high-tech medical Labs in Mumbai or Delhi.

SS Rajamouli had tweeted, "Looks like my mom liked the sunshine hospital very much. She had to be shifted to ICU again. If there is anyone who is connected2a medical Lab in Mumbai or Delhi I need some help. I need a lab which can do tests for anti convulgent levels in serum for oxcarbamazepine and levericetam. Thank you (sic)."

However, SS Rajamouli's father Vijayendra Prasad is also a famous script writer and director. Although the entire family of Rajamouli is in the film industry, Smt Rajanandini was rarely seen in public. Her sudden death has shocked many in the industry. Soon after the news about her demise broke out, condolences have been driving in from all the biggies of industry.
