revealed
that
he
has
planned
to
quit
acting
as
well
as
politics.
The
veteran
star,
who
has
acted
in
more
than
350
films
so
far,
says
that
he
is
taking
this
decision
as
his
health
is
not
permitting
him
to
do
so.
He
regrets
that
he
wanted
to
do
the
movie
Chatrpathi
Shivaji,
but
his
dream
has
remained
unfulfilled.

Krishna
was
addressing
the
media
at
a
private
function
at
Jubilee
Hills
in
Hyderabad
on
Sunday,
when
the
announcement
of
his
retirement
came.
The
Superstar
said
that
he
wants
to
retire
from
films
and
politics
as
his
health
does
not
permit
him
to
work
anymore.
Meanwhile,
he
added
that
he
wished
to
make
the
film
Chatrpathi
Shivaji,
but
it
has
remained
as
unfulfilled
dream
as
he
wants
to
stay
away
from
acting.
However,
Krishna
began
his
acting
career
as
a
character
artist.
Later,
director
Adurthi
Subba
Rao
cast
him
as
one
of
the
male
leads
in
Tene
Manasulu,
which
was
a
big
success
at
the
Box
Office.
Then
onwards,
there
was
no
look
back
for
this
versatile
star,
who
has
won
several
awards,
including
the
India's
highest
civilian
honour
Padma
Bhushan
(2009).
Having
acted
in
more
than
350
movies,
Krishna
has
worked
with
several
ace
directors
of
the
time,
like
Adurthi
Subba
Rao,
V
Madhusudhana
Rao,
K
Viswanath,
Bapu,
Dasari
Narayana
Rao
and
K
Raghavendra
Rao.
He
has
two
sons
Ramesha
and
Mahesh
Babu,
who
has
also
become
the
Superstar.
