Vikram
and
Anushka
Shetty
starrer
Tamil
movie
Thaandavam
has
bagged
'U'
certificate
from
the
Censor
Board
in
Chennai.
But
its
Telugu
version,
Shiva
Thandavam
is
facing
trouble
at
the
Censor
Board
in
Hyderabad.
Producer
Nattikumar
has
lodged
a
complaint
with
Dhanalakshmi,
the
Regional
Officer
of
the
Censor
Board
in
Hyderabad,
asking
them
to
stop
the
censoring
of
the
film.
In
his
complaint,
Nattikumar
has
stated
that
the
UTV
has
applied
for
a
censor
certificate
for
the
film
in
Chennai
as
a
straight
Tamil
film,
while
producer
Kalyan
applied
for
a
censor
certificate
for
its
dubbed
version
Shiva
Thandavam
as
a
straight
Telugu
film.
They
are
cheating
both
governments
of
Tamil
Nadu
and
Andhra
Pradesh.
He
further
stated
the
Censor
Board
in
Chennai
has
already
awarded
Tamil
film
Thaandavam
a
'U'
certificate.
The
same
certificate
would
be
given
to
its
Telugu
version
Shiva
Thandavam
in
Andhra
Pradesh.
With
this,
Kalyan
could
evade
entertainment
tax
of
12.5%
causing
a
big
loss
to
both
states'
exchequers.
Nattikumar
hurled
his
anger
saying
that
Kalyan
is
the
president
of
South
Indian
Film
Chamber
of
Commerce.
Instead
of
setting
a
good
example,
the
producer
is
abusing
his
power.
However,
the
Censors
in
Hyderabad
are
expected
to
watch
Shiva
Thandavam
and
determine
its
mother
language
and
the
dubbed
version
soon.
