Chakri, Prasad face criminal case for misbehaving with TV artiste

Music director Chakri and producer Paruchuri Prasad are two Tollywood celebrities, who are known for their clean image in the industry. They have always managed to stay away from the controversies. But now, they are making it to the headlines for all wrong reasons. Yes! They are reportedly facing a criminal case for allegedly misbehaving with a TV artiste at a friendship day party on Sunday (August 4).

It is reported that the friendship day party was held at the office of music director Chakri in Srinagar Colony on Sunday night. The TV artiste attended the party along with some other male artistes. She has lodged a complaint against Prasad and Chakri at the Banjara Hills police station on Monday morning.

In her complaint, the artiste has stated that the producer Prasad misbehaved with her. She alleged that Chakri tried to pacify her saying the producer would give her a role in his next film. "The woman didn't give us precise details but in the complaint she charged the producer with outraging her modesty. We are yet to register her statement," The Hindu quotes Banjara Hills Station Inspector Murali Krishna as saying.

Reports further claim that a case under sections 354 (outraging modesty of a woman) and 342 (wrongful restraint) of Indian Penal Code was registered against Prasad and Chakri. However, the name of the victim and details of her work in TV industry is yet to be revealed.
