Hyderabad: It is well-known that Megastar Chiranjeevi's sister's son Sai Dharam Tej is entering films with the movie Rey, which is directed and produced by YVS Chowdary under the banner of Bommarillu. The latest news we hear about this much-delayed movie is that it is nearing the completion of its shooting and is expected to hit the screens across the globe in the last week of March, 2013.
In the mid of October 2010, Sai Dharam Tej's Rey, which is made with a tagline 'Shout for Success', was launched at a grand event. The event was attended by celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nandamuri Hari Krishna, K Raghavendra Rao, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Kalyan Ram. But the movie, which was expected to hit the screens in 2011, was delayed due to some unknown reason.
Rey is a musical romantic entertainer with all commercial ingredients. The film has been shot in America, West Indies, Bangkok and different parts of India. According to the film unit, so far the movie has completed 90% of its filming and the canning of two songs and an action block. Its makers are planning to finish all its works as early as possible and release it by the end of March 2013.
However, besides direction, YVS Chowdary has also written story and screenplay for the film Rey, which introduces Shabana Azmi's niece Saiyami Kher as main heroine. Actress Shraddha Das is playing another female lead, which is a key to the subject. Yalamanchili Geetha presents this movie, which will have Guna Sekharan's cinematography, Chakri's music, Raghu Kulakarni's art direction.
