In the interview Chiranjeevi said, "I am shocked to hear that news about sad demise of talented actor Srihari, who was like one of my family members. I was very sad to learn that he breathed his last at 5.35 pm today (October 9) at the Leelavathi Hospital in Mumbai. I still can't believe this news. Because Srihari was healthy and continuously taking part in film shootings. His sudden demise has shattered me and I find it difficult to digest this fact."
Chiranjeevi recalled the performances of Sri Hari in his films like Mutamesthri, Bavagaru Bagunnara and also his son's films Magadheera and Toofan in which he had pivotal roles and gave power packed performances.
"I personally know Srihari very well much before he became an actor. After he entered films, he became very close to me as well as my family members. I know him from his struggling days. He had been always helpful to me and my family," he added.
"He has done brilliant acting in my movies like Bavagaru Bagunnara and Mutha Mestri. More recently, he had delivered wonderful performances in Magadheera and Thoofan. In some scenes, he even overshadowed the hero Ram Charan Teja. As character artiste, he had played different kind of roles and proved his mettle. His work is great treasure for Telugu film industry," he reminisced.
Chiranjeevi said it's a great loss to the industry and also expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the dead actor. Sri Hari also had a very brief stint with the Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam party in 2009 and soon came out to campaign for Congress.
