It was rumoured several times in the past that a few Tollywood filmmakers had approached Bollywood Diva Deepika Padukone for their Telugu films, but the actress rejected them citing various reasons. However, the B-Town girl has slammed the reports stating that she has not been offered any film in Telugu. The Bangalore-born star says that Venkatesh is one of her favourite actors and she would love to work with him in a film, if she gets an interesting role.
Deepika Padukone was in Hyderabad for the promotion of her upcoming movie Ram Leela, when she spoke about Telugu films. Talking to TOI, the actress spoke about her connections with the city. She said that she has often visited the city for the shooting of her movies and ad films. "Hyderabad reminds me of my hometown Bangalore - the food, the people, the culture and the warmth is almost the same," TOI quotes her as saying.
Meanwhile, she also spoke about the Telugu film industry and said that she had not been offered anything, but if she gets anything interesting in Telugu, she would definitely consider doing it. "Venky is one of my favourite actors here. I would love to work with him. And yes, Rana Daggubati... he is also a very close friend of mine," TOI quotes Deepika Padukone as saying.
