Dharmavarapu Subramanyam Dies: Tollywood Mourns His Death

Popular Telugu comedy actor Dharmavarapu Subramanyam died at his P&T colony residence in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The 53-year-old comedian had been hospitalised over some liver-related problems. He had recently been discharged from the hospital and was taking rest at his residence, where he breathed his last. His last rites will be performed at his native place Komminenivari Palem in Prakasam district.

Hailed from Komminenivari Palem in Ballikuruva mandal, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam made his mark on small screen with Doordarshan programme Adandobrahma. Later, he made his acting debut in Tollywood with director Jandhyala's 1990 movie Jayammu Nischayammu Raa. He had acted in nearly 100 movies in Telugu. He was last seen Victory Venkatesh's Shadow. He had also directed a film titled Thokaleni Pitta.

Dharmavarapu Subramanyam hosted a political satire program Ding Dong on Sakshi TV from 2011. He was famous for his uninterpreted comedy and flawless dialogues. He was the chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Cultural Association. He has really worked to uplift the dignity of stage artists and Cultural Shows in the Tollywood (AP). His sudden death has created a irreplaceable vied in the industry.
