Dhoom 3 (7 Days) First Week Collection At Box Office: Aamir Starrer Beats Krrish 3 Records

Several small budget movies released in bulk before the Christmas festive season started and most of them got bombed at the Box Office. Surprisingly, not a single straight movie has hit the screens this week. Dubbed movies like Dhoom 3 and Karthi's Biriyani clashed at the Andhra Pradesh Box Office. Sai Korrapati, who has bought the AP rights for both Telugu and Hindi versions of Dhoom 3, released the movie in around 605 screens in the state. The Aamir Khan starrer opened to an earth-shattering response and collected Rs 4.50 crores (Rs 2.50 crores nett) at the AP Box Office on the first day. With the viewers giving it thumbs up, its business was expected to grow up on Saturday.

But surprisingly, Dhoom 3 showed downward trends at the ticket counters on the second day. Its business did went up on Sunday, but it was not up to the expected mark, when compared to its opening day collection. However, the film witnessed steep fall of 50% in its business on Monday on Tuesday. It once again witnessed a big jump on Wednesday, a Christmas holiday. The movie maintained rock-steady on Thursday too.

Dhoom 3 has collected approximately Rs 23.50 crores from both Telugu and Hindi versions at the AP Box Office in (seven days) first week and its nett collection stands at Rs 12 crores. Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 had collected Rs 10 crores nett in the state. Beating its collection records, the Vijay Krishna Acharya-directed movie has set several new benchmark in the state. Besides recovering his investments, Sai Korrapati, who has acquired its distribution rights for Rs 8.5 crores, has earned a decent amount of profits from the movie in just seven days. Krrish 3 had released with Hindi and Telugu version in 500 screens in Andhra Pradesh. Whereas Dhoom 3 has beaten this record by hitting 605 screens in the state.

Krrish 3 was holding this record with its first collection Rs 3 crores (gross) at the AP Box Office. Now Dhoom 3 has smashed this record by raking in Rs 4.50 crores in the state.

Highest Grosser in Opening Weekend

Krrish 3 had collected approximately Rs 10 crores (gross) at the AP Box Office in its opening weekend. Whereas Dhoom 3 has broken this record by minting Rs 15.50 crores in the state.

3 Days Nett Collection

The three-day nett collection of Krrish 3 was Rs 5 crores, while Dhoom 3 nett collection stands at Rs 7.50 crores at the AP Box Office.

Highest Grosser In First Week

Krrish 3 had collected approximately Rs 10 crores nett the AP Box Office in the first week. Trade expert predict that Dhoom 3 nett collection would cross Rs 15 crore mark in the state.
