Dr Mohan Babu's father dies at 95

Hyderabad: Telugu actor Dr Mohan Babu's father Sri Manchu Narayanaswamy Naidu died at 12:10am today (Monday, February 11) in the premises of Sri Vidyanikethan in Tirupathi. He was 95 years old and is survived by four sons and a daughter. He was a middle class farmer as well as a school headmaster. Mohan Babu was by his side when he breathed his last.

Mohan Babu's daughter Lakshmi Manchu has confirmed the news about the death of her grandfather. On her Twitter page, the actress-turned-producer posted a photo of her with her grandfather and tweeted, "95 yrs of greatness. Will miss u Thatha. Thankq 4 ur beautiful life. Thankq for teaching acting :) will miss u :("

Manchu Manoj also tweeted, "My GrandFather passed away now at 12:10am ... He was a gr8 human. May his soul rest in peace. Will miss u alot ThaTha.. Wil never let u down."

On his Twitter account, script writer Kona Venkat wrote, "I always knew that Mohanbabu Garu is a great father but I realised that, as son he is greater. His father Narayana Sway Garu passed away.. It's a huge loss to him and his family. May his soul rest in peace and may lord venkateswara give them the strength to bear the loss.."

Gabbar Singh fame director Harish Shankar tweeted, "Sad to know ... MohanBabuGari Father Sri NarayanaSwamyNaiduGaru passed away. May his Soul Rest in peace."
