Jr NTR's Ramayya Vasthavayya Is Releasing On Time: Harish Shankar
The outburst and agitation in Seemandhra, which has continued for the ninth day, has caused upheaval in the political arena in the state. The Samaikyandhra supporters have also boycotted the screening of all Telugu movies, posing a threat to the films of many biggies. The release of a few big-budget flicks has been already postponed. But director Harish Shankar says that there is no change in the release date of Junior NTR's upcoming movie Ramayya Vasthavayya.
Chiranjeevi, and late actor and ex-CM of Andhra Pradesh, NTR's families are from Seemandhra region. Besides being influential in the film industry, they have also got strong political background. The Samaikyandhra supporters are very upset with both families as they feel that they could have avoided the division of the state. So they have decided to boycott their family movies.
Due to this threat, the release of Yevadu starring Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja, and Attarintiki Daredi featuring his brother Pawan Kalyan, have already been delayed. It was rumoured that the release of Junior NTR starrer Ramayya Vasthavayya, which is slated to hit the screens in September, would be postponed.

director
says
the
movie
is
currently
in
the
post-production
stage

release

time.

Ramayya Vasthavayya - Romantic Action Entertainer
Ramayya Vasthavayya is a romantic action movie, which is touted to be an out-and-out commercial entertainer. The movie has been written and directed by Harish Shankar. Producer Dil Raju, who is producing the film under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, has shelled out Rs 35 crores on its making.
NTR To Romance Two Heroines
Junior NTR is playing the hero in the film, but the makers have kept the details about his role under wraps. He will romance two leading heroines, Samantha and Shruti Hassan. This is his second movie with Samantha after Brindavanam. Vidyullekha Raman, P Ravi Shankar, Rao Ramesh and Paruchuri Prasad are in the supporting cast.
S Thaman's Music For RV
S Thaman, who has earlier worked with Harish Shankar in Mirapakay, has teamed up with him again for the second time. He has composed the soundtrack for Ramayya Vasthavayya, which will be released soon. Chota K Naidu has handled cinematography for the film.
Tittle Issue
It was rumoured earlier that Harish Shankar would title the film as MLA Manchi Lakshanalu Unna Abbai, but due to creative differences the team removed it. After Dil Raju registered the title, it was also rumored that the title would be used for this movie. But ultimately, the makers announced that Ramayya Vasthavayya would be the title for Harish-NTR combo movie.
Ramayya Vasthavayya Shooting
Ramayya Vasthavayya was officially launched on October 18, 2012 at Dil Raju's office in Hyderabad and began its filming on January 3, 2013. The 80% of the movie has been shot in Hyderabad and the rest in Pollachi and songs in different location in India.
RV Release Date
Lorgan Entertainment, a leading independent distributor of Australia, has acquired the distribution rights of Ramayya Vasthavayya. The release date of the film, September 27, marks the 12th anniversary of NTR's first Blockbuster Student No 1.
