Superstar
Mahesh
Babu
is
not
playing
any
special
role
in
Anushka
Shetty's
female-centric
period
drama
Rudhramadevi,
which
is
all
about
the
13th
century
revered
queen
of
the
Kakatiya
dynasty.
A
source
close
to
the
actor
says
that
Gunasekhar,
the
director
of
the
biopic,
had
approached
him
for
a
role,
but
Prince,
who
is
keen
to
wrap
up
Sukumar's
1:
Nenokkadine,
turned
down
his
offer
quoting
date
issue.
It
was
reported
earlier
that
Mahesh
Babu
would
make
a
special
appearance
in
an
action
scene
in
film
Rudhramadevi
and
he
had
already
started
shooting
for
it.
It
was
also
reported
that
Anushka
Shetty
got
injured
on
the
set
of
the
film
when
she
missed
to
dodge
a
sword
thrown
by
Prince
on
her
during
the
filming
of
this
action
sequence.
But
now,
a
source
close
to
Mahesh
Babu
has
slammed
the
reports
stating
that
he
is
not
doing
any
cameo
in
Rudhramadevi.
"Gunasekhar
approached
Mahesh
Babu
for
the
role
of
Gona
Gannaredy
(Kakatiya
ruler)
in
the
film,
but
the
actor
has
turned
down
the
request.
Mahesh
is
keen
to
wrap
up
Sukumar's
1:
Nenokkadine
and
quickly
move
to
Srinu
Vaitla's
Aagadu," TOI
quotes
the
source
as
saying.
