Mahesh Babu Not Playing A Cameo In Rudhramadevi?

Superstar Mahesh Babu is not playing any special role in Anushka Shetty's female-centric period drama Rudhramadevi, which is all about the 13th century revered queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. A source close to the actor says that Gunasekhar, the director of the biopic, had approached him for a role, but Prince, who is keen to wrap up Sukumar's 1: Nenokkadine, turned down his offer quoting date issue.

It was reported earlier that Mahesh Babu would make a special appearance in an action scene in film Rudhramadevi and he had already started shooting for it. It was also reported that Anushka Shetty got injured on the set of the film when she missed to dodge a sword thrown by Prince on her during the filming of this action sequence.


But now, a source close to Mahesh Babu has slammed the reports stating that he is not doing any cameo in Rudhramadevi. "Gunasekhar approached Mahesh Babu for the role of Gona Gannaredy (Kakatiya ruler) in the film, but the actor has turned down the request. Mahesh is keen to wrap up Sukumar's 1: Nenokkadine and quickly move to Srinu Vaitla's Aagadu," TOI quotes the source as saying.
