Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daredi Likely To Have Tamil Remake

The phenomenal success of Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daredi has attracted eyeballs of leading producers who have expressed interest to remake the film in Tamil. Vijay, who has starred in the Tamil remakes of Telugu films such as Okkadu, Pokkiri, Athanokkade and Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu, is likely to be roped in for the role of the Pawan Kalyan in its Tamil version.

A source close to producer BVSN Prasad told IANS, "Nobody has bought the remake rights yet but several producers have expressed interest in the remake. A leading producer of Tamil movies is keen to remake the film with a top star. The official announcement may be made soon once all the formalities are finished."


The source added, "I have been told that actor Vijay has expressed interest in the remake. I can't confirm anything at the moment because talks are still on. We can expect something concrete in about two weeks."

Attarintiki Daredi, which hit record number of screens on September 27, has collected approximately Rs 50 crore at the worldwide Box Office in six days. It also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pranitha, Nadhiya and Boman Irani. The film is directed by Trivikram, who collaborated with Pawan Kalyan for the second time after Telugu blockbuster Jalsa.
