Hyderabad: Anushka Shetty and Priyamani, who are known as most glamourous actresses in South India, have now reportedly landed in a legal trouble for posing in obscene costumes in their upcoming films. Social activist and lawyer L Subuddi is said to have filed a sleaze case against these glam girls at the Malkajgiri Court in Hyderabad on Monday. He has appealed the court to take strict action against them.
In his complaint, L Subuddi has claimed that Anushka Shetty is sporting an attire made of leaves, while Priyamani appears in objectionable dress in her movie Chandi. Now, the makers are busy preparing for its release and is using their indecent posters for the advertisements of the movies. He continues that both these actresses wrongly and indecently represent women.
The social activist has stated that Anushka Shetty and Priyamani have violated several laws. He has requested the court to take action against them under Sections 120-B, 292, 420 of IPC, and section 3 & 6 of the indecent representation of women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, the AP Prohibition of Obscene Advertisements Act 1997, Sec 67 of Information Technology Act 2000, Section 7 of The Cinematograph Act, 1952, and Rule 38 of the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 1983a, reports a leading English daily.
