The final rites of Telugu actor Srihari, who passed away at the Leelavathi
Hospital in Mumbai on October 9 following liver-related problems,
were performed with all state honours at his farmhouse in
Bachupally on Thursday evening. Thousands of fans had gathered to
pay their last respects to the beloved hero at the place. The
police had to struggle to control the mob.

The body of Telugu actor Srihari was brought from Mumbai to Hyderabad on Thursday morning. Hundreds of Telugu celebrities like D Ramanaidu, Dasari Naryana Rao, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan Teja, Jr NTR, Tarun, Brahmanandam, Jayasudha, Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala, Ali, Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, Sudha, Hema, Subbaraju, Raghu Babu, SS Rajamouli, Chalapathi Rao, Allu Aravind and a few others visited his house to pay their homage to the actor. They offered condolences to his bereaved family.
Later, the mortal remains of Srihari were kept at the AP Film Chamber in filmnagar for the public to pay their last respects to the actor. His funeral rites got completed with his body being buried at his farmhouse in Bachupally in the evening. Several Tollywood biggies and political leaders attended the last rites of the actor.

Srihari As A Fighter
Born in Elamarru Village, Krishna District, Srihari migrated to Hyderabad at the age of 15 and got settled with his family in Balanagar. He started his career as a stunt fighter. It was well-known director Dasari Narayana Rao, who introduced him to films in 1986.
Srihari's Acting Debut With Rajini's Film
In 1989, he began acting as a character artiste in producer Allu Aravind's Tamil movie Mappillai, starring Rajinikanth, Amala and Srividya in leads.
Srihari's Debut As A Hero
He entered in Telugu film industry in 1993. In 1999, Srihari became hero in the movie Police, which was the best opening ever for small budget films in the 1990s.
Srihari's Contribution To Film Industry
In a career spanning over two decades, he starred in 98 films. Some of his best films include Dhee, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Magadheera and Krishna. His last notable performance was from recently released Ram Charan Teja's Thoofan.
He married actress Shanti in 1998 and has two sons and one daughter. Their daughter, Akshara, died when she was four months old. Srihari started Akshara Foundation in her memory. He also adopted four villages in Medchal.
Actor Srihari had been suffering from a liver ailment for some time. He was 49. On the sets of his new Hindi film R... Rajkumar, he was complaining of pain and later died at the hospital on October 9.
