Photos: Winners List Of Mirchi Music Awards 2013

The winners list for Samsung Galaxy Star Mirchi Music Awards 2013 (South) was unveiled at a grand event held at Trade Center Nandambakam Chennai at 5.00 pm on July 26, 2013. It was a starry and glitzy event, which was attended by several Tollywood celebrities like Rana Daggubati, Nani, Suresh Babu, Kriti Karbanda, Shriya Saran, Sunitha, Tanikella Bharani, Devi Sri Prasad, AR Rehman and SP Balasubramaniam.

Pawan Kalyan's Blockbuster movie Gabbar Singh swept all major Telugu awards at Mirchi Music Awards 2013. SS Rajamouli's maiden production Andala Rakshasi has graced the second position by winning three coveted awards on the occasion. Eega and Shirdi Sai have also bagged one award each.

Mirchi Music Awards are presented by Radio Mirchi annually to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the South Indian music industry. The awards are separately given for Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. The awards were first given in 2010 for the Best of 2009.

Devi Sri Prasad was chosen Best Composer for the movie Gabbar Singh, which also bagged other awards like Best Album of the year - Jury Choice, Best Album of the year - Listeners Choice, Best Song of the year - Jury Choice (Aaksam Ammayaithe) and Best song of the year - Listeners Choice (Kevvu Keka).

AR Rahman Honoured

AR Rahman Honoured

AR Rahman has been felicitated with Global Music Icon Award. Senior Music Director Koti, SP Balasubramaniam, Gangai Amaran presented this award to him. After receiving the award, Rahman thanked all his team members and producers, directors who supported him in his journey.

SPB - Sangeeth Samrat

SPB - Sangeeth Samrat

SP Balasubramaniam was honoured with Sangeeth Samrat award. Producer Suresh Babu, Gangai Amaran presented this award to SPB along with AR Rahman.

Singer Jamuna Rani

Singer Jamuna Rani

Singer Jamuna Rani, who sang over 6,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Sinhala languages, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Suresh Babu presented her this award.

SP Balasubramaniam

SP Balasubramaniam

SP Balasubramaniam, who has crooned the song 'Sai ante Thalli' with Sunitha for Shirdi Sai, walked away with Best Male Singer at the Mirchi Music Awards 2013.

Andala Rakshasi

Andala Rakshasi

SS Rajamouli's maiden production Andala Rakshasi bagged three awards. Rakendu Mouli was honoured with Upcoming Male Singer and Upcoming Lyricist for the film, while Raadan walked away with Best Upcoming Music Composer.

Singer Chitra, who has rendered her voice for songs like 'Paluku thelupu thallive', 'Sambayya' and 'Devasthanam' for SP Balasubramaniam starrer movie Devasthanam, bagged Best Female Singer this movie.

Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

Sirivennela Sitaramasastri

Chembolu Sirivennela Sitaramasastri, who has earlier bagged 10 Best Lyricist award from Nandi Award and three Filmfare Awards, has now won his first Best Lyricist award from the Mirchi Music Awards 2013.

Eega - Best Sound Mixing
