Mirchi has received an overwhelming response in America, where it got released in record number of screens - 82. The Telugu film has collected Rs 2.54 crores ($4,71,941) at the USA Box Office in its first weekend. It has almost beaten the lifetime collection record of Ram Charan Teja starrer Naayak, which has raked in Rs 2.66 crores ($4,94,140) in this country. Whereas Hindi movies Special 26 and ABCD have collected Rs 2.49 crores ($4,62,262 from 85 screens) and Rs 51.29 lakhs ($95,236 from 25 screens, respectively.
Meanwhile, Mirchi has sent down the business of old releases at USA Box Office. Vishwaroopam (Telugu) has collected $16,047 from 15 screens in its third weekend, taking its total to Rs 1.03 crores ($1,90,441). Ongole Gitta has added $608 from 5 screens in its second weekend to its total Rs 14.97 lakhs ($27,800). In its fifth weekend, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) has added $520 to its total Rs 8.81 crores ($16,35,300), while Naayak added $168 to its total Rs 2.66 crores ($4,94,140).
Mirchi had also released in 4 screens in the UK, where it has received decent response and landed in the fourth place, while Special 26 topped business chart there. The Prabhas-Anushka-Richa starrer has collected Rs 3.03 lakhs (£3,591) at the UK Box Office in its first weekend. Overall, the film has raked in Rs 2.57 crores nett at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend.
