Puri Jagannadh Son Akash To Play Young Balakrishna

Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh's son Akash, who has appeared as child actor in a few Telugu movies, has impressed the film goers with his performance. Now, he is all set to make his comeback to Tollywood screen. Yes! Puri Akash will essay the role of young Nandamuri Balakrishna in his upcoming Telugu political-drama Legend, which features Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan in lead roles

Boyapati Srinu, who is directing the movie Legend, has confirmed the news about casting Puri Akash for the film. The director, who is impressed with his acting skills said, "Puri's son Akash will play the younger version of Balakrishna in the film. I had seen his performances in other films and I thought he would be apt for the role. We are yet to shoot with him but I'm confident that he will do well."

Akash made his cinematic debut in Telugu action-drama Chirutha. Directed by his father, the movie featured him as young Ram Charan Teja. He has also played younger versions of Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan in Businessman and Gabbar Singh respectively. He has also played the lead in Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Dhoni. Now he will be seen in Legend, which is slated to release in the year of 2013.
