In Western culture, black colour has positive meaning and black costumes are considered formal and elegant. But in Hindu tradition, it symbolises evil or negativity and not many love to wear black dress, which some people think will bring bad luck to them. However, one Telugu film director, who is absolutely in love with black costumes, is none other than Surender Reddy. In fact, he has set a new trend with it. Continuing this tradition, he makes Allu Arjun don a black dress in Race Gurram.
Race Gurram is a romantic action entertainer and it marks the comeback of Surender Reddy, three years after the release of Oosaravelli starring Junior NTR and Tamanna in leads. The makers of the movie have unleashed its first look teaser as a birthday gift to the director, who turned 38 on December 7. This 35-second video offers first look of Allu Arjun's role. Interestingly, his shirt, jeans pants, watch and shoes featured in the clip are all black.
So far, Surender Reddy has directed five Telugu movies like Athanokkade, Ashok, Athidhi, Kick and Oosaravelli. In each of these films, the director has made sure that the hero sported black costumes at least in one song sequence. Surprisingly, all these songs have become big hits. We bring you the looks of all those in black costumes. Continue to see them in the slideshow.
