Actress Radhika Sarathkumar, who has featured in several Telugu movies in the past, is known for her memorable performances in films such as Swati Mutyam and Swati Kiranam. This popular South Indian actress is now returning to Tollywood after a decade. She will play an important role in romantic-drama Vundile Manchi Kalam Mundu Munduna (VMKMM).
Radhika Sarathkumar's last Telugu outing was Ram Gopal Varma-directed Prema Katha (1999), which earned her the Nandi Award, the highest honour in Telugu cinema, for Best Supporting Actress. Director Arun Dasyam said, "We were on the lookout for a senior actress to essay an important role in the film. We did have a few names in mind, but finally zeroed in on her. She is a wonderful actress with a lot of experience and I'm confident she will do justice to her part."
Vundile Manchi Kalam Mundu Munduna features Sudhakar of Life is Beautiful fame in the title role, while the hunt for the leading lady is underway. The movie, which also stars veteran actress Purnima, is expected to go on floors soon. Radhika Sarathkumar, who has starred in over 50 films over the years, is currently busy with acting on television. She also produces Tamil films such as Kannamoochi Yenada and Chennaiyil Oru Naal.
