Hyderabad: The mega family has always come forward to support, whenever a natural calamity happened anywhere in India. Now, it is the duty of Telugu actors Ram Charan Teja and his cousin Allu Arjun, sons of Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind respectively, to take forward the tradition of the family. Yes! Taking a step forward, the young superstars have donated Rs 20 lakh for the Uttarakhand disaster relief fund.
Members from Chiranjeevi's family were among the first in Telugu industry to donate for the noble cause. Earlier, Chiru's younger brother Pawan Kalyan donated Rs 24 lakh for the Uttarakhand disaster relief fund. Now, Ram Charan Teja and Allu Arjun have pooled in Rs 10 lakhs towards the same cause.
Confirming the news, Arjun's younger brother Allu Sirish tweeted, "Charan and Bunny (Arjun) gave Rs 10 lakh each, (while) Kalyan garu gave Rs 24 lakh." Sirish further wrote, "I'm very proud that our mega fans (megastar Chiranjeevi's fans') community came forward and pooled in Rs 25 lakh towards Uttarakhand relief fund."
Meanwhile, the members from Chiranjeevi's fan club have also tuned in up to Rs 25 lakh for the victims. Ram Charan Teja and Allu Arjun handed over their donation cheques to the Union Minister for Tourism, Chiranjeevi at the audio launch of the movie Yevadu. Addressing the gathering, the Megastar thanked the actors as well as his fan club members for their generosity and assured to deposit the amount in the Prime Minister's relief fund.
