Ram Charan's Yevadu Bows Down To Attarintiki Daredi?
Ram Charan Teja's next outing Yevadu is one of the highly anticipated Telugu movies of 2013 and Mega fans are eagerly waiting to see Cherry dazzle the screen with his stunning action. But here is a shocking news for all of them. Yes! The release of this much-hyped movie, which was to hit the screens across the globe on July 31, has been postponed by 20 days and producer Dil Raju has confirmed the news.
Yevadu was earlier slated to release on July 26, but was postponed to July 31 just week ahead of the release of Pawan Kalyan's highly-talked about film Attarintiki Daredi, which is schedule to hit the marquee on August 7. In bid to avoid a clash at the AP Box Office, Dil Raju, the maker of Yevadu, had requested the producers of the latter to delay it release by a couple of weeks.
But Dil Raju, who seems to have bent down himself to the makers of Attarintiki Daredi, has decided to delay his own movie Yevadu. On Saturday (July 27), Dil Raju held a press conference and confirmed the news of its postponement quoting unavailability of theatres. The producer said, "We've decided to revise the release date of Yevadu and the film would now hit the screens on August 21."
Yevadu Clash With Attarintiki Daredi
Talking about the clash between Yevadu and Attarintiki Daredi, Dil Raju had earlier said that both films releasing at the same time would not hamper their business and will do well at the Box Office. The producer had compared them to Gadar and Lagaan.
Box Office Has Nothing To Do With Stars
"I don't think the Box Office has anything to do with stars and their films. Two films featuring star actors can have a good run at the Box Office provided they are good. Remember, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Lagaan released on the same day and went on to be Blockbusters," Raju had told IANS.
Yevadu, AD Will Be Like Gadar, Lagaan
The producer had added, "I'm sure Yevadu will be another Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Attarintiki Daredi (AD) will be another Lagaan. Both films will be equally good and will have a good run at the Box Office. Their release won't affect each other."
Yevadu, AD – Big-Budget Films
Both these Telugu movies are big-budget flicks. Dil Raju has apparently spent Rs 35 crores on the production of Yevadu, while producer BVSN Prasad shelled out Rs 40 crores on the making of Attarintiki Daredi.
Box Office Predictions
Many people were keeping their finger crossed to know whether Yevadu will be able to recover its production cost at the Box Office in its opening week. A few even predicted that Dil Raju would suffer huge losses.
Dil Raju Ends Speculations
Putting an end to all speculations, Dil Raju has postponed the release date of Yevadu and he says that he took this decision due to non-availability of screens. With the film slated to release on August 21, a public holiday for Rakhi Pournami, the producer is now confident about the success of the movie.
AD Makers Happy
Meanwhile, the makers of Attarintiki Daredi, who were scared about its clash with Yevadu, are said to be relieved after the release of the latter was delayed by three weeks.
