Chiranjeevi, the megastar of Telugu Cinema is a living legend. He has made millions of people around the world proud to be Telgites. He has put the greatness of Telugu language in the forefront.
Veteran director K Balachander had once said, "Chiranjeevi has both Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth in him." He has received Padmabhushan, an Honorary Doctorate from Andhra University, eight Filmfare Awards for Best Actor, four Nandi Awards and many other numerous awards in his film career. Popular magazine Filmafare had quoted him "Bigger than Bachchan".
In 1998, he founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust which includes Blood and Eye Banks. It is the state's largest recipient of blood and eye donations. He entered politics in the year 2008 by starting his Praja Rajyam Party. Standing tall in the midst of immense competition and political pressures, he has moved up the political ladder. He is now the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
