earth-shattering response and was doing very good collection.
Hence, many in the Telugu film industry were very skeptic about the
successful opening of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
But undeterred by Naayak, the Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh
starrer received an overwhelming response across the globe.
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu bagged positive
reviews from film critics and a positive word of mouth took its
business upwards in the following days. The movie did superb
collection on Sunday and Monday due to Sankranthi holiday. Its
area-wise collection is Rs 5.30 cr in Nizam, Rs 3.10 cr in Ceeded,
Rs 82 lakh in Nellore, Rs 1.83 cr in Guntur, Rs 1.19 cr in Krishna,
Rs 1.20 cr in West Godavari, Rs 1.60 cr in East Godavari, Rs 1.35
cr in Vizag, Rs 6.87 cr in USA and Rs 1.75 in rest of
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has topped the
weekend collection chart at the USA Box Office beating much-hyped
Hindi movie Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Bollywood trade
analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Telugu film #SVSC is
rewriting the rules of the game. Embarked on a mind-blowing start
in USA, garnering a rich haul in opening weekend."
However, so far, Pawan Kalyan's all time highest grosser movie Gabbar Singh was the biggest opener at the USA Box Office. The movie had raked in Rs 5.67 crores ($10,19,384) at USA Box Office in 26 days. Now, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has smashed this collection record and set its own new weekend record in the country.
