Why Was Vijayashanti Suspended From KCR's TRS?

The entire Tollywood has opposed the Telangana movement for the division of Andhra Pradesh. But the only big film star, who has supported the fight is actress-turned politician Vijayashanti, who has been member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). However, the actress has been suspended from the party by its chief K Chandrashekar Rao's (KCR) on the day it got justice for its decades old fight.

Sources from TRS say that Vijayashanti, who is a TRS MP from Medak, has been suspended for indulging in anti-party activities. TRS President KCR has taken a decision to this effect as an unanimous opinion expressed by the party politburo. Party sources added that a show-cause notice would be served on her before the suspension asking her why she should not be suspended.

It is reported that Vijayashanthi was having differences with TRS president KCR over contesting from Medak. Sources close to her say that she was camping in Delhi and strongly lobbying for joining the Congress. She was reportedly in talks with Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi for the same.
