Telugu movie Aaha Kalyanam, which released in theatres across the world on February 21, has got decent opening at the ticket counters. The Nani and Vaani Kapoor starrer romantic comedy has done good collection at the worldwide Box Office in the first weekend. When compared to Nani's previous release, the 3-day business of his latest outing is much better, say Tollywood experts.
Aaha Kalyanam is a remake of Hindi film Band Baaja Baarat and Yash Raj Films is entering Tollywood with this movie. The promos of the film had soared up the viewers expectation to the sky high. The Nani and Vaani Kapoor starrer was expected to start with a bang, but it received a poor response in the morning and matinee shows on the first day. It showed little improvement in its collection in the later shows.
Having garnered mixed response from critics and viewers, the business of Aaha Kalyanam dipped on Saturday. However, the movie witnessed growth on Sunday. When compared to Nani's previous outings, this film was released in limited number of screens. The Gokul Krishna-directed film has collected approximately Rs 10.20 crores at the Andhra Pradesh Box Office in the first weekend. Its three-day breakup is Rs 3.50 cr on Fri, Rs 3.10 cr on Sat and Rs 3.60 cr on Sun.
