Amitabh Bachchan Playing Guest Role In ANR's Manam

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan is playing a guest role in late legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao's (ANR) last movie Manam, which also stars the latter's son Nagarjuna and Grandson Naga Chaitanya in the lead. The B-Town Megastar himself has confirmed on his official page on Tumblr. He says that he has recently completed the shooting for this much-awaited film, which is set to release in theatres on May 25.

Amitabh Bachchan revealed the news about shooting for Telugu film Manam in his official blog on Tumblr on April 27. While talking about how he was working very hard for the day and the night, the 71-year-old actor wrote, "Thereafter a quick cameo shoot for Nag, son of the legendary Late Akkineni Nageshwar Rao, and a dear friend, for the film he has made in Telugu along with his Father ..."

Sources from the production team of Manam also confirm that they have recently canned some scenes involving Amitabh Bachchan in Hyderabad, but the makers want to keep the news secret. The sources added that Manam is the last film of late Dr ANR and the team is trying to make sure that everything is special for the movie.

However, Amitabh Bachchan had maintained very good relationship Dr ANR, when the later was alive. The legendary Telugu actor was present on the one of the events of Big B's hit film Paa. Amitabh has featured alongside his son Akkineni Nagarjuna in the Television ad for Kalyan Jewellers.
