Actress Avika Gor, who was recently seen in Telugu movie Uyyala Jampala, has been flooded with several offers in Tollywood, but she is carefully looking into each and every details before singing a film. After her cinematic debut, the Balika Vadhu star has gone busy with the shooting of her second movie Lakshmi Raave Maa Initiki. Producer Giridhar, who is producing the film, says that he had to wait for six months to sign the actress.
Talking about casting Avika Gor for Lakshmi Raave Maa Initiki, Giridhar said, "We couldn't think of anyone else for the role. Therefore, we decided to wait for six months to sign Avika. When we approached her, she had already started shooting for Uyyala Jampala. We narrated the story and she instantly liked it."
Directed by Nandyala Ravi, Lakshmi Raave Maa Initiki features Avika Gor alongside debutant Shourya. Ali, Mukesh Rishi, Satyam Rajesh and Sayaji Shinde will appear in important roles in the movie. Producer Giridhar added, "Avika asked us to move on if we couldn't wait, but we had decided to cast her at all cost. So we waited and it finally paid off."
Avika Gor, who made her debut on television as a child artist, is known for her work in Hindi serial Balika Vadhu. Her performance was appreciated on the big screen with Uyyala Jampala, which turned out to be the biggest low-budget Telugu hit of last year. Lakshmi Raave Maa Initiki will be her second film.
