Balakrishna's Legend Collection Crosses Rs 50 Cr At Box Office

Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest Telugu movie Legend, which hit a record number of screens across the globe on March 28, has continued to do decent collection at the worldwide Box Office in the third week. With its brilliant business, the film has surpassed Rs 50 crore mark in the global market in 20 days. In 2014, it has become the third flick to achieve this magical number after Yevadu and 1: Nenokkadine.

Directed by Boyapati Srinu, Legend had created lot of positive buzz, prior to its release. As predicted, the movie opened to thunderous response on Friday. Having made record breaking collection on the first day, it became the biggest opener for Balakrishna and Srinu. The film maintained rock-steady on the following days and collected Rs 33 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in the first week.

Despite facing tough competition from new releases like Rowdy, Hrudaya Kaleyam and Race Gurram in the second and third weeks, Legend maintained a moment at the ticket counters and did superb collection. The movie has collected Rs 27 crores at the global Box Office in the second and third weeks, taking its 20 days collection to Rs 50 crores nett. Today, the makers of the movie have released a statement to the media confirming its collection.

In recent years, Balakrishna had suffered severe setback as his previous releases had failed to make it big at the Box Office. His latest outing Legend has broken all his previous records and has become the highest grosser film in his career. His powerful performance, punch dialogues, Srinu's brilliant direction and Devi Sri Prasad's music are main reasons for its huge success.
