Crazywala - Spoof On Kejriwal To Encourage Voting: Mohana Prasad
News

By Ians English
Upcoming
Telugu
comedy
Crazywala,
a
spoof
on
Arvind
Kejriwal,
is
not
a
film
on
the
Aam
Aadmi
Party
(AAP)
leader
but
an
effort
to
encourage
voting
in
the
country,
says
its
director
Mohana
Prasad.
Kejriwal
will
be
impersonated
by
comedian
MS
Narayana
in
the
movie.
"I
admit
we
have
made
MS
Narayana
look
like
Kejriwal
in
the
promotional
posters,
but
our
intention
is
not
to
make
a
film
on
the
AAP
leader.
Through
this
film,
we
are
attempting
to
encourage
people
to
vote,
choose
their
leaders
and
change
their
own
fate," Prasad
told
IANS.
"We
have
only
used
Kejriwal's
get-up.
This
was
just
to
create
some
curiosity
and
also
underline
some
of
the
good
ideologies
of
his
party.
But
the
purpose
of
our
film
is
to
encourage
people
to
vote
and
choose
a
deserving
leader," he
said.
Prasad
says
he
has
not
tried
to
portray
Narayana
as
a
comedian
in
the
film
Crazywala.
"He
is
a
great
comedian
and
a
good
actor
too.
We
all
see
him
only
as
a
comedian.
I
have
tried
to
break
that
stereotype
in
this
film.
This
is
not
a
full-lengthy
comedy.
Audiences
will
get
to
see
the
serious
side
of
Narayana
as
well," he
said.
He
says
he
had
sought
the
permission
of
AAP
party
before
he
started
shooting.
"We
didn't
want
to
take
any
chances.
Therefore,
I
had
sought
the
permission
of
the
party
before
shooting
the
film.
If
required,
I'll
show
the
film
to
them
before
releasing
in
cinemas,"
he
added.
