Dasari, Vijaya Lauded My Work In Drushyam: Sripriya

Telugu movie Drushyam, an eponymous remake of a Malayalam Blockbuster film Drishyam, has struck gold at the Box Office. Filmmaker Sripriya, who has directed Venkatesh and Meena in the film, says that the huge success of the movie has left her extremely delighted. It has boasted her confidence to continue to make such movies.

In a statement to IANS, Sripriya revealed her excitement over the success of Drushyam. She told, "I'm very happy with the response to the film. More than for commercial reasons, I'm delighted that the audiences connected with the film on an emotional level. It has given more confidence to continue making films."

Sripriya's direction has been lauded by ace filmmakers in the industry. She added, "Industry stalwarts such as Dasari, Vijaya Nirmala personally appreciated my work in the film. What more could I ask for? I'm happy that audiences are still hungry for good content and this success has reinforced my faith in good storytelling."

Drushyam starring Daggubati Venkatesh and Meen in the lead roles, has be made on a moderate budget. Released on July 11, the movie has collected over Rs 15 crore at the Box Office in two weeks. It is still doing well at the ticket window. Drishyam is now getting remade in Tamil with Kamal Hassan.
